Hello my name is Sarah, I am a registered dietitian and have been working in the NHS for the past 23 years. I enjoy helping people to improve their health through nutrition and am passionate about promoting the vital role nutrition plays in health and disease.
Although malnutrition is common and nutrition treatment is an integral part of the management of respiratory conditions, this aspect of respiratory care is not currently well funded in the NHS.
I started Respiratory Nutrition as I wanted to dedicate my time to this speciality. I find that working in private practice allows me the time to understand each clients needs and deliver a high quality service, enabling me to use my knowledge and skills to really make a difference.
Our Mission: To improve the nutrition and quality of lives of those living with respiratory conditions

We aim to do this in several ways…
Raise awareness of the importance of nutrition on lung function, progression of disease and development of frailty.
Empower those with respiratory conditions, by educating and enabling them to adapt food choices
and be proactive in preventing or treating malnutrition and frailty.
Improve the identification of those at risk of malnutrition by promoting integration of this into
respiratory management plans so nutrition treatments can be started sooner.
Promote nutrition and dietetic services in this specialist area and provide nutrition services
where NHS services fall short.
Continue learning and share our knowledge in as many ways as we can.
